Comparing Photos
Overview
Compare mode lets clients place two photos side by side so they can make a cleaner review decision. It is especially useful when the differences are subtle, like hand position, expression, crop, or product angle.
Compare is built for proofing workflows. It is not available when Store mode is enabled.
How to Enable Compare
Open
Galleries → [Your Gallery].Go to the gallery settings or the creation wizard.
Turn on Allow Compare.
Save the gallery settings.
You can enable compare while creating a gallery or later from the gallery permissions area.
How Clients Use Compare
Open the gallery and enter compare mode.
Click two images to add them to the compare tray.
Once two photos are selected, click Compare.
Review the images side by side, then remove one or both photos to keep comparing.
StudioLedger only compares two images at a time. If a client tries to add a third image, they need to remove one first.
What to Know
Compare is meant for review workflows, not purchasing workflows.
Compare is disabled when Store mode is turned on.
Compare works best when you also enable selects, so clients can shortlist favorites and then compare the closest options.
