Workspace
Overview
Workspace Settings control fundamental workspace configuration, including your brand identity online, business location, timezone, and how you receive notifications.
These settings are workspace-level, meaning they apply to everyone in your workspace. Only workspace Owners and Admins can modify these settings.
General Settings
Access workspace-level configuration including name, timezone, and currency:
Workspace Name
Your workspace name appears in various places throughout StudioLedger, including the workspace selector and team invitations.
To change your workspace name, go to Settings ā Workspace and edit the name field.
Timezone
Your workspace timezone is used for scheduling, availability windows, and time displays throughout the platform.
This is a workspace-level setting, not individual. All team members see times in the workspace timezone unless they have personal overrides configured.
Currency
Your default currency appears in estimates, invoices, price sheets, and financial reports.
You can override the currency on individual invoices and estimates if needed.
Custom Domain
Configure a custom domain for your StudioLedger galleries, client portal, and public
pages. Instead of sharing links like
yoursite.studioledger.app
, use your own domain.

- You must own the domain
- Access to your domain's DNS settings (from your registrar)
- DNS changes can take 24-48 hours to propagate
Setting Up Your Custom Domain
- Go to Settings ā Workspace ā Custom Domain

Enter your domain (e.g.,
galleries.yourcompany.com) - Copy the DNS record(s) ā StudioLedger will show you the exact DNS records to add
- Add DNS records to your registrar ā Log in to your domain registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Route 53, Cloudflare, etc.) and add the records in your DNS settings
- Verify DNS ā Click "Verify" in StudioLedger to confirm DNS propagation
- Enable the domain ā Once verified, activate the custom domain
DNS Record Types
StudioLedger supports multiple DNS record types. Your registrar may support one or more:
CNAME (Recommended)
Alias one domain to another. Easiest method if your registrar supports it.
A Record
Points to an IP address. Use if CNAME is not available.
TXT Record
Used for domain verification. Usually required alongside A or CNAME.
ā±ļø DNS Propagation Time
DNS changes can take 24-48 hours to fully propagate globally. If verification fails
immediately, wait and try again. You can also use tools like
mxtoolbox.com
to check DNS propagation status.
Daily Digest
Receive a daily email summary of activity in your workspace. The daily digest includes bookings, quote approvals, invoice payments, and other key events.
Enabling Daily Digest
- Go to Settings ā Workspace ā Daily Digest
- Toggle Enable Daily Digest to on
- Select your preferred send time
- Choose which types of activities to include (optional filters)
- Save your preferences

Send Time
Select your preferred time to receive the daily digest. The time is based on your workspace timezone.
Notifications
Control how and when you receive notifications for different types of events in your workspace. Notifications can be sent via in-app alerts, email, or SMS.
Notification Types
StudioLedger sends notifications for 18 different event types. For each event, you can choose:

Setting Up Notifications
- Go to Settings ā Workspace ā Notifications
- Browse the notification types list
- For each event, toggle the notification channels you want (In-App, Email, SMS)
- Changes save automatically

Enable in-app notifications for all events so you stay informed while working. Use email notifications selectively for high-priority events like payments and booking requests. Consider using SMS for critical alerts like large invoices or contract signatures.
