Services

Overview

Services are the offerings clients can book from your scheduling page. Each service defines what they're booking, how long it takes, the cost, and any specific requirements.

You can create multiple services for different types of work: Studio Sessions, On-Location Shoots, Consultations, Retouching Services, etc.

Creating a Service

Create a new bookable service:

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Go to Scheduling → Services
  2. Click "Create Service"
  3. Basic Info:
    • Service name (e.g., "Studio Portrait Session")
    • Description — What's included, what to expect
    • Duration — How long does it take (e.g., 60 minutes, 2 hours)
  4. Pricing & Details:
    • Price — Cost of the service
    • Deposit Required — Optional: require upfront deposit
    • Location — Where the session takes place (studio address, online, client location)
  5. Booking Settings:
    • Confirmation mode — Auto-confirm or manual approval
    • Assigned providers — Which team members offer this service
    • Conflict calendars — Calendars to check for scheduling conflicts
    • Buffer time — Before and after buffer between bookings
    • Slot interval — How frequently time slots appear (e.g., every 15 or 30 min)
  6. Save the service

💡 Detailed Descriptions Help

Write descriptions that answer common questions: What's included? What should they bring? What's the process? Detailed descriptions reduce no-shows and booking inquiries.

Active & Inactive Services

Control which services are currently bookable:

Active Services

Appear on your booking page and clients can schedule them immediately.

Inactive Services

Hidden from your booking page. Use this when you're not currently offering a service (seasonally, temporarily) but want to keep the configuration saved.

Toggling Status

In Scheduling → Services, toggle the "Active" switch next to each service:

  • ON (Active): Service appears on booking page
  • OFF (Inactive): Service is hidden

Sharing Your Booking Page

Once you've created services, share your booking page with clients:

Your Booking URL

Your booking page has a unique URL:

studioledger.com/{workspace-slug}/book

Share this link on your website, in emails, or with clients directly.

Ways to Share

  • Direct link in emails and messages
  • Embed on your website using a widget
  • QR code (generated automatically) for print materials
  • Link in your social media bio
  • Calendar invitation with booking link

💡 Customizing Booking Page Appearance

On the Services page, scroll down to the appearance section to customize your booking page theme, logo, accent color, and footer visibility.

Embedding on Your Website

Embed your booking calendar directly on your website:

  1. Go to Scheduling → Services
  2. Scroll to the Share & Embed section
  3. Select which service to embed from the dropdown
  4. Copy the generated embed code
  5. Paste into your website HTML
