Integrations
Overview
StudioLedger integrates with industry-leading services to power key features:
- Stripe Connect — Accept client payments for invoices, estimates, and gallery purchases
- Dropbox — Store and access files directly within StudioLedger
Each integration uses OAuth 2.0 for secure authentication. You control what data is shared and can disconnect at any time.
Stripe Connect
Stripe Connect enables you to collect payments directly from clients. Payments go into your bank account after processing fees.
Why Connect Stripe?
Stripe is required for:
- Invoice payment links (clients pay you directly)
- Estimate payment links
- Gallery store purchases (sell image licenses)
- Form payment fields
Setting Up Stripe
- Go to Settings → Integrations → Stripe Connect
- Click "Connect Stripe Account"
- You'll be redirected to Stripe to authorize the connection
- Sign in to your Stripe account (or create one if you don't have one)
- Review the requested permissions and click "Authorize"
- You're redirected back to StudioLedger—connection is complete!
📋 Don't Have a Stripe Account?
During the authorization flow, Stripe will offer to create an account for you. It takes about 2 minutes and requires basic business information (name, email, bank account for payouts).
Stripe Account Modes
Stripe has two modes:
Live Mode
Processes real payments. Money goes to your bank account.
Test Mode
For testing payments without charging real cards. Use test card numbers.
You can switch between modes in StudioLedger settings. Use test mode to verify everything works before going live.
Disconnecting Stripe
To disconnect Stripe, go to Settings → Integrations and click "Disconnect" next to Stripe. Payment links will stop working immediately, but existing transaction history remains accessible.
Dropbox
Connect your Dropbox account to browse and access files directly within StudioLedger. Use files from Dropbox in file transfers, attach them to documents, or share them with clients.
Why Connect Dropbox?
Dropbox integration lets you:
- Browse Dropbox files without leaving StudioLedger
- Create file transfers directly from Dropbox
- Attach Dropbox files to invoices and estimates
- Link Dropbox folders to galleries for backup
Setting Up Dropbox
- Go to Settings → Integrations → Dropbox
- Click "Connect Dropbox"
- You'll be redirected to Dropbox to authorize
- Sign in to your Dropbox account
- Review permissions and click "Allow"
- You're redirected back to StudioLedger—done!
🔒 Scoped Access
For security, StudioLedger only accesses a dedicated
/Apps/StudioLedger
folder within your Dropbox. All files are stored here—other Dropbox files remain
private.
Using Dropbox in StudioLedger
Once connected, you can access Dropbox from:
- File Transfers — Create a transfer, click "Browse Dropbox"
- Documents — Attach files to invoices or estimates
- Galleries — Link to Dropbox folder for backup sync
Disconnecting Dropbox
To disconnect Dropbox, go to Settings → Integrations and click "Disconnect" next to Dropbox. Previously shared Dropbox files remain accessible to recipients, but you can't browse Dropbox within StudioLedger anymore.
